Solar Energy UK

Solar Energy UK is proud to announce that Anesco has joined the ranks of our top-tier sponsor members. We look forward to working more closely with the company, particularly on public affairs, as we gear up to implement the findings of the forthcoming Solar Roadmap.
Anesco has delivered over 100 solar farms and has been a pioneer in pairing solar energy with large-scale battery storage. Its Clayhill project was the UK’s first subsidy-free solar farm, setting an important precedent for the industry – and its Chief Executive Hildagarde McCarville is a member of SEUK’s board.[1]
The company is well-known for integrating biodiversity initiatives into its solar farms, such as creating wildflower meadows and habitats for pollinators, creating a positive environmental impact alongside energy generation. It also invests heavily in developing the skills of its workforce, aligning with Solar Energy UK’s own Solar Careers UK initiative.
“Anesco is proud to be an active supporter of SEUK and its efforts to further the advancement of the UK solar industry, in line with carbon reduction goals. Energy security and climate change remain two of the biggest challenges we face today and it is only by government and industry coming together that we will achieve a successful energy transition. SEUK provides industry with a united voice, facilitating collaboration, driving awareness and education for solar’s many benefits as a scalable and affordable energy source, and steering positive change,” said McCarville.
“Anesco was already one of our biggest and most active members, not to mention Hildagarde’s role on the board, so I am glad that Solar Energy UK will be working with the company even more closely. With a dozen sponsor members behind us, the future for the association and the industry as a whole has never been more bright,” said Chris Hewett, Chief Executive of Solar Energy UK.
