Impact Report 2025

Advancing Solar & Storage Together

2025 was a defining year for Solar Energy UK and the wider solar and storage sector. As deployment accelerated and solar delivered a record share of the UK’s electricity, Solar Energy UK strengthened its role as the trusted voice, convenor and evidence-led advocate for the industry.

Through policy leadership, expanded media presence, deeper member engagement and the launch of major initiatives including SolarPulse and Solar Careers UK, we focused on turning momentum into practical delivery — supporting members through grid reform, planning change, skills development and market growth.

With 433 member organisations, record engagement across forums, events and communications, and growing influence with government, regulators and media, 2025 demonstrated how collaboration, credibility and commitment translate into real impact for the UK’s clean energy transition.

As the sector moves from ambition to delivery, Solar Energy UK enters 2026 with clarity of purpose: enabling faster deployment, strengthening the workforce, and ensuring solar and storage remain central to the UK’s energy security, affordability and net zero future.
